GYMNASTICS

Mentee
As a volunteer Gymnastics Mentee you will be part of our specialised program which offers a support network to further enhance your coaching talents as well as providing you with the skills and experience to develop and deliver gymnastics classes. This 12 week YMCA-specific program will be your first step in heading towards a gymnastics qualification.
Beginner Coach
As a Beginner Coach you will work alongside qualified Gymnastics Instructors who will support and guide you to successfully complete your gymnastics qualifications and enable you to become a fully qualified Gymnastics Instructor.
Gymnastics Instructor
As a Gymnastics Instructor you will design and deliver safe, fun and energised gymnastics programs in line with industry guidelines to upskill our members in their technical gymnastics ability and celebrate their progress.
Gymnastics Coordinator
As a Gymnastics Coordinator you will assist the Centre Manager in the management of the gymnastics program. You will lead the gymnastics team within the centre and will oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of all gymnastics programs.
FITNESS

Learn to Play Instructor
As a Learn to Play Instructor you will design and deliver programs that actively encourage developing skills in the chosen activity or team sport whilst providing a fun and safe environment for learning.
Referee
As a Referee you will officiate matches in line with the rules and guidelines of the competition whilst ensuring the safety of our players at all times.
School PE Instructor
As a School PE Instructor you will supervise and deliver class plans which progress the ability of students through sporting activities including School PE and team court sports.
Fitness Instructor
As a Fitness Instructor you will supervise the gym floor ensuring the safety of all our members, particularly when using exercise equipment. You will provide advice and direction to members as well as developing and conducting exercise programs, managing health consultations, program starts, follow ups and re-assessments.
Personal Trainer
As a Personal Trainer you will conduct fitness sessions in a one-on-one or small group setting. You will motivate and enhance our members' fitness experiences while maintaining a safe, informative and friendly fitness environment.
Group Fitness Instructor
As a Group Fitness Instructor you will conduct safe, fun and energetic classes within our centres and assist the Health and Fitness Coordinator in the overall development of the group fitness programs.
Health & Fitness Coordinator
As a Health and Fitness Coordinator you will oversee the development, implementation and evaluation of all fitness programs in a centre.
AQUATICS
If you are looking for a career in Aquatics, the Y are always looking for enthusiastic and passionate people for the following roles.
Swimming Instructor
As a Swimming Instructor you can change and save lives by equipping babies, children, and adults with the ability to swim confidently.
You will nurture future swim stars and design and deliver safe and interactive swimming lesson programs.
You’ll be a splashtastic communicator - calming anxious students and reassuring worried parents.
You’ll also ensure hygiene is a top priority – keeping our students safe is a team effort.
Whatever your background, if you have enthusiasm and the desire to learn, you won’t need to come qualified. The Y will support and develop you to become the best you can be in this role
Swim School Supervisor
As a Swim School Supervisor you will oversee all scheduled swimming lessons and provide support and guidance to Swimming Instructors and their parents.
Swim School Coordinator
As a Swim School Coordinator you will be responsible for the running of all swim school programs and your team of Swimming Instructors. We pride ourselves on a strong culture of excellent service offering great programs to our clients.
Squad Coach
As a Squad Coach you will work with the Head Coach to design and develop effective, unique programs and lead squad training sessions that progress the ability of our students.
Head Coach
As a Head Coach you will oversee the successful delivery of the squad programs and training sessions within the centre. The role will involve the ongoing training, development and supervision of coaches within the team.
Lifeguard
As a Y Lifeguard you’ll enjoy keeping a close eye on our precious community members often getting to know customers by name.
You’ll be reliable and vigilant and ready to jump to action if necessary but also great at identifying potential risks - and taking steps to reduce those risks.
As a Y Lifeguard you’ll be a positive role-model so our communities know what safe water behaviour looks like and feel confident they’re in secure hands.
Whatever your background, if you have enthusiasm and the desire to learn, you won’t need to come qualified. The Y will support and develop you to become the best you can be in this role
Duty Manager
As a Duty Manager you will lead a team of approx. four to five Lifeguards and be a visible presence to support and guide them on their shifts. You will be the first point of contact when the management team has left for the day or are not available, covering all aspects of the facility.
Operations Coordinator
As an Operations Coordinator you will lead the team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards and the Cleaning team to ensure the facility provides a safe, clean and enjoyable environment at all times.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
If you are looking for a career in Customer Service, the Y are always looking for enthusiastic and passionate people for the following roles.
Customer Service Officer
Customer Service Officers are the face of the centre – the first and last person a member or guest sees. You will be responsible for proving great customer service to our members, handling centre enquiries, membership sales and program bookings.
Café Assistant
As a Café Assistant you will perform a variety of duties in the centre café/kitchen which consists of food handling, cleaning, cash handling and providing excellent customer service to our members and guests.
Birthday Party Leader
As a Birthday Party Leader you will host and deliver fun-filled birthday parties for our guests within our centres. You will be responsible for party set up, supervision of children participating in activities, food coordination and pack up at the completion of each party.
Frontline Coordinator
As a Frontline Coordinator you will lead and supervise the frontline customer service team to generate memberships while ensuring a culture of customer service excellence within our centre. This role will also involve the administration and management of services across the facility.
